Five reasons to love seasonal marketing. Keeping it unique and fun!

I absolutely love this time of year. Yep, I am one of those people that when others are grumbling about the weather, I am doing the happy dance all the way to my closet and grabbing the warmest sweatshirt I can find. No matter what your personal feelings are towards fall and winter, if you are needing to promote a service or item there is a lot to think about. Let’s explore a couple of ways that you may be able to take advantage of the season and jump on the cold weather marketing bandwagon.

The countdown to Christmas is a serious thing.

If you have been shopping lately you can see that the Christmas décor has already began taking over the entire store. Grab some of those early shoppers by offering special deals and incentives now!

Put a pumpkin on it and it will sell.

People love all things related to pumpkins. From beer to lattes, people look forward to these yummy seasonal treats. Why not take your product and put a little pumpkin twist on it? How about advertising the perfect boot to wear to the pumpkin patch or show off your handmade silver bracelets that include a pumpkin shaped charm engraved with their initial.

Black Friday.

This is one of the biggest shopping days of the year and people will be spending a ton of money. If your service or product can be purchased online, that’s even better. People love to take advantage of the Black Friday deals in the comfort of their own home, and without the hassle of long lines.

Help customers with their New Year’s resolution.

January is a great month to help your customers plan for their future. Help them think about how they can make positive choices for the up and coming year. Do you offer personal training, or does your product promote a healthy lifestyle in some way? Perhaps your company can solve some type of problem or make your customers life earlier in some way.

Spread some love for Valentine’s Day.

Some people love Valentines Day and some people hate it. Either way, there are lots of ways to take advantage of the Holiday. Obviously, you can promote your product as a gift, or perhaps your restaurant could offer a special “Lover’s Menu” for the day. Why not help those who do not have a special person this year by offering a “Girls Day Out” package at a local spa or a single’s only event.

We all know that this time of year can sometimes be a bummer, but let’s focus on the things that make winter totally awesome… like sweatshirts, hot chocolate, and snuggling up by a fireplace. Remind your customers how your product or service can make their winter a little bit better, warmer or happier. Stay warm my friends and have a Happy Holiday season.
